Page 2 Problem 4 Visual

Draw a 20- by - 20 square ABCD. Mark P on AB so that AP = 8,
Q on BC so that BQ = 5, R on CD so that CR = 8, and S on DA
so that DS = 5. Find the lengths of the sides of quadrilateral PQRS.
Is there anything special about this quadrilateral? Explain.

In order to find the lengths of these sides of the quadrilateral,
you must do pythagoream theorem on the highlighted triangles.


So the lengths of the parallelagram are 13 and 17. This parralellagram
is special because the two sides parallel to each other are the same length.
