This applet demonstrates systems of equations in algebra using the real life example of buying t-shirts. A teacher could use this applet during instruction to help visualize the equations that represent each t-shirt company. This applet is more helpful because it shows the students when one company is cheaper than the other, depending on how many t-shirts you buy. It highlights the intersection point, which represents the number of t-shirts that would cost the same at either company.
